My name is Jose Maria Martinez Avila, an Internal Medicine specialist physician. I am an Internist, but I am also a cartoonist and illustrator. This provided me with the opportunity to approach medical practice and teaching in a slightly different way. Maybe as an Illustroscopist, I would say.
